New Poker Run to Hit the Streets

I know what you�re thinking. I know very well, too, that the popular game of poker is best played in casinos or on the internet. So how then can it be taken to the streets?

Actually, it�s not just about playing poker but it�s all about supporting a worthy endeavor. If you�re an animal lover, you�ll be interested in this project so read on.

There�s a new poker run scheduled this Saturday, May 2. Officially called �Cruising for Critters Poker Run,� the event will take place in Spring Hill starting at 10 a.m. This is for the benefit of the homeless, neglected and abused pets which are now in the care of The Humane Society of the Nature Coast.

If you�re in the area and would like to join, registration will start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Discounts can be had if you can register online before noon of Friday, May 1. Go visit www.cruisingforcritters.com for more information.

The Poker Run will officially begin from Spring Hill Drive and the Spring Hill office of AAA and will have stops at the following spots � Upper Deck Restaurant in Hernando Beach, Petco in Brooksville, Hess Gas Station in Brooksville, Cotee River Caf� in Hudson and the finish line is at Sky Powersports in Hudson.

To play during this event, you only need to buy as many poker hands as you wish and the good news is there�s no registration fee involved. Motorcycle riders are welcome to join the run but if you don�t have a bike, then drive your car to the event.
